Rising country stars Kaitlin Butts, Tyler Halverson, and Braxton Keith took center stage in East Nashville on Thursday night (September 25) for a lively celebration hosted by Rolling Stone and Dickel Whisky as part of the Rolling Stone’s Writers’ Room series. The event featured performances and interviews highlighting each artist’s unique sound and stories behind their music, from Butts’ cheeky viral hit, “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me)” and her new song, “Never Really Mine,” to Halverson’s country ode to the late hip-hop star, “Mac Miller,” and his current hit collaboration with Parker McCollum, “Beer Garden Baby,” and Keith’s neotraditional outlaw country style featured in his singles, “Baby You Do” and “A Little Bit Closer.” The night blended fresh talent with musical tradition, which concluded with a toast led by Joseph Hudak, RS Senior Music Editor and host of the Nashville Now podcast, who said, “We have had such a great night with these three artists. Country music is in good freaking hands.” (Rolling Stone)
